Who will be the next president of the United States? That is the question all Americans should be asking themselves. As time goes on, people are trying to determine who they feel should represent the country. The upcoming presidential debate between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris will give the people of the US a much greater idea of who to vote for. The second major debate this year will be held on September 10th, 2024, at 9 a.m. ET. It will be available for the public to watch on ABC. Moderators include David Muir and Linsey Davis. There will be 90 minutes of debate time in total, with two commercial breaks, giving each candidate time to gather their thoughts and form arguments. Many have speculated over the management of microphones during the debate, and it has been determined that they will only be live for the candidate whose turn it is to speak. Candidates will be prohibited from bringing their own notes to the podium, and will instead be given a pen, a small note card, and a bottle of water. Unlike many other forms of debate, there will be no audience, rather just a few reporters allowed in the room while the debate is live. Both candidates have made impacts in the media for better or for worse in attempts to sway the public. Trump has been in numerous news headlines after he was shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania. After miraculously surviving, Trump is going into the debate as a heavy favorite due to his plethora of debate experiences compared to Harris not being in many scenarios like what September 10th will look like. However, Kamala Harris has made her fair share of attempts to appeal to her audiences, recently having Megan Thee Stallion perform at one of her Democratic rallies.
