Christmas movies always put people in the mood to decorate, bake, and get into the Christmas spirit. There are thousands of different Christmas movies that are watched all throughout December. Some popular Christmas movies are Elf, Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, and Home Alone. There was a vote on what the best Christmas movie is on MoonBeams Media’s Instagram.  

The top movie was Home Alone with 60 percent taking the top. Home Alone is about a little boy that gets left home alone while his family is in Paris! He was happy at first until there were two guys trying to break into his house. The boy made traps for them to leave as fast as they can. His mom eventually makes it back to the boy on Christmas day!  

There is a draw between Die Hard and Christmas Vacation fighting for the 20 percent. Die Hard is about a guy named John McClane and he defends the Nakatomi Plaza from West German terrorist Hans. Although some say Die Hard isn’t a Christmas movie, there are two Christmas songs in the film and lots of trees. Christmas Vacation is about a big family that spends Christmas together. Everything that happens is a wreck but in the end they all love each other and are happy. 

In the last 10 percent, it was Love Actually. Love Actually is about romantic and platonic relationships that happen in London. They all happened in the first couple weeks before Christmas.  

Christmas is a big holiday for many people. It lets family and friends get closer and loving. Movies are always fun to watch when it is a cozy night, and they bring families closer. It is always exciting when the holidays come around because most people are in a cheerful mood. When everything is decorated, it really is the most wonderful time of the year.
