Every year, there is the same ongoing debate: when is it appropriate to decorate for Christmas? Christmas has always been more of a season, rather than a day, so while some say it is never too early, others have their own opinions.
December 24th and 25th are two of the biggest days of the year, Christmas, being the holiday that brings in the most profit every year, is celebrated through wild outfits, traditions, and especially decorations. Moonbeamsmedia decided to ask students when it is appropriate to start the festivities.
Junior, Graciela Carlos says, “Any time after Halloween is a good amount of time to decorate.”
Following that theme, sophomores, Vita Hazen and Sophia Laskowski, agree that November 1st is the time to celebrate the season. While some students gave time frames, others knew the “perfect” date to decorate.
“November 29th,” says freshman Caroline Diana, “it’s after Black Friday and it’s the perfect amount of time before December hits.” Sophomore Kamryn White agrees that after Thanksgiving is when you should put up the tree.
Senior, Elina Antoniades, says, “November 15th is the first day that someone should decorate.” Brody Decker, senior, said, “Right around mid-November is a good time to decorate.
So, whether you are a Christmas fanatic, or more of a Scrooge, when you decorate for Christmas is simply based on preference. So, hang up the mistletoe and stockings after whatever holiday you choose, or leave them up all year long.
