Seven Good luck charms that people might not know –
1. Ladybug – this dates back to the middle ages. A man was wrongly accused of a horrible crime which he did not commit and was pardoned when a ladybug landed on him just before he was executed.
2. Four-Leaf Clover – its rarity makes the one who finds it lucky! A four-leaf clover is a 1 in 10 chance of finding one.
3. Horse shoe – according to legend hanging a horseshoe above the front door would bring good luck and protection against evil spirits
4. Rabbits foot – good diggers and hunters were using rabbit’s foot for good luck.
5. Wishbone – this good luck charm dates back 2,400 years ago. They believed fowls could predict the future. This tradition is used during U.S. Thanksgiving.
6. Dream Catcher – these charms would hang children’s beds catching had dreams and evil spirits. That disturbed the child’s sleep.
7. Lucky Dice – fuzzy dice would hang off of car mirrors as a symbol of good luck. This tradition started during WW2. Pilots would put items in their planes and many of them would have a pair of dice.
