The Moon Area coffee shop has been selling drinks to students all year long and has become a very popular stop for many people before the school day begins. A lot of students stop there to grab something before first period, whether it’s coffee to wake them up or just something different to drink in the morning. Throughout the year, the coffee shop releases different seasonal drinks depending on the time of year. These drinks usually match holidays or seasons and give students something new to try.
Now that it is March, St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. Because of that, the coffee shop has released a new group of drinks that fit the theme of the holiday. The drinks include a mix of sweet flavors and some that are inspired by popular desserts or cereals. Some of the new coffee drinks listed include Banana Bread Latte, Cake Batter Latte, Dubai Chocolate Brownie Latte, Fruity Pebbles Latte, Irish Cream Mocha Latte, Lucky Charms Latte, and Minty Mocha. Each drink has its own flavor and gives students different options depending on what they like.
Not everyone drinks coffee though, so the shop also has some non-coffee drinks available. This gives students who do not like coffee the chance to still try something from the seasonal menu. Some of these drinks include The Pot-of-Gold Lemonade, Mint Chocolate Shamrock Frozaccino, and a Green Velvet Vanilla Matcha. These drinks still follow the St. Patrick’s Day theme but offer something different for people who want a refreshing or lighter option.
Some of these drinks look and taste just as good as they sound. The names alone should catch people’s attention and make them curious to try them. Students sometimes talk about the drinks with their friends and compare which ones they think are the best. It also gives people something new to look forward to during the month since the drinks are only around for a limited time.
The drinks will be available for purchase on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings before first period. This gives students a chance to stop by and grab a drink before heading to class. Since they are only available on certain mornings, students sometimes try to make sure they get there early so they can get the drink they want.
The March drinks will stay available until March 31. After that, the coffee shop will start getting ready for the spring season. As April gets closer, students should expect to see a new set of seasonal drinks that match the spring theme and bring even more options to the menu.
