Every year on Thanksgiving morning, millions of families across the country turn on their TVs or line the streets of New York City to watch one of America’s traditions: the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. For almost a century, the parade has been showing their spectacular floats, massive balloons, and performances to excited audiences. And this year’s parade will be no exception to this, offering new attractions and classic fan favorites that many students at our school wake up early just to see.
One of the biggest highlights this year is the debut of several new floats and balloons. A major standout is the Labubu float, created by Pop Mart.

The float, called “Friendsgiving in POP CITY,” features trending characters along with other popular collectible figures. Seeing Labubus transformed into a 16-foot-tall inflatable will add a funny and unexpected twist to the parade. This float is definitely one to be excited about, especially with how popular Labubus has become on social media and with younger people.

Another exciting addition is the LEGO “Brick-tastic Winter Mountain” float. True to LEGO’s style, it looks like a giant world complete with oversized bricks, snowy peaks, and characters climbing and skiing across the scene. The float will represent the imagination associated with the brand and remind viewers of the joy of building or creating with Legos.
One more new arrival is Lindt’s first-ever parade float, called the “Master Chocolatier Ballroom” Designed to look like a golden, sparkling dance hall inspired by the iconic Lindor truffle wrapper, the float features dancers, a spiral staircase, and a holiday decorated atmosphere that anyone who likes Lindt will enjoy.
But while new additions bring excitement, the classics bring comfort. Several iconic balloons will make their return to the parade. A favorite for decades, the Snoopy balloon will soar once again, marking another appearance in its decade’s long history. The giant red Power Ranger balloon will also reappear, instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up watching the show. And as always, Santa Claus will close the parade, officially kicking off the Christmas season.
Marching bands from all over the country will fill the streets with music, and Broadway performers will present numbers that add to the festive atmosphere. More than anything, the parade will offer a chance for students and their families to relax. For many, watching the parade is a tradition passed from one generation to the next, a comforting reminder that even though life changes, some traditions remain the same. The 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will definitely deliver warm memories that make the holiday feel complete.
