Watch out for ticket sales to come out for this year’s fall musical: Descendants! The story follows present day Auradon, where all of Disney’s heroes are living happily ever after, safe from the evils, who have been long banished to the Isle of the Lost. In awaits to be coronated, young Ben (Pratham Singh) sets out to invite some Evils: Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos (Played by Liliah Gehrlien, Kylie Tutino, Brody Stout, and Jason Lockett respectively) back to Auradon Prep to redeem the reputation of their parents. The Evils have a tough choice to make. Should they stay rotten to the core? Or is the good news bad?
Initially, Mal and her friends plot to steal the Fairy Grandmother’s Magic wand to allow the villains to rule once more and freeing them. Each teen is torn between the good and bad, struggling to stay loyal to their heritage or going along on their own. Maleficent expects her daughter to follow in her footsteps. But, as the evils spend more time at Auradon, they discover through making friends with the goods that maybe they don’t want to be like their parents. Evie finds her worth, Jay finds honor, Carlos overcomes his fears, and mal realizes love is a choice rather than a power.
In the climax of the plot, the evils are faced with the final decision: to steal the wand and remain bad, or to go with their hearts and turn good. They end up rejective their expectations and Legacies, proving that future is not dictated by past. At the conclusion of the musical, the Evils are officially accepted into Auradon, celebrated for their courage and their overcoming of their parents wishes. Overall, it Is proven that people are not trapped by what is destined of them, and everyone has the power to choose their own path.

Your opportunity to see your classmates, the lights, and the costumes await! But wait! If you want to participate in the production but missed auditions, don’t worry! Stage Craft and Crew meetings start soon! Meetings are usually on Mondays and Wednesdays after school, and anyone can join. Attendance to shows is mandatory, and meets with the cast approximately two weeks before the first show.
