On defense, Maddie Finnegan led with 7 digs, 1 assist, and 1 ace, and Aly Stepp chipped in with 2 digs.
These girls have all been playing volleyball for the last 6-8 years and all of them expressed they will miss the bond and family that they have created through their time playing volleyball. Lydia Vandetti stated that she “won’t ever find that again… 30 girls that are all your family”. This bond has allowed them to create really special memories together, Maddie Finnegan recalled her favorite memory being “reverse sweeping South Fayette on senior night 2023” and Aly Stepp recalled “singing Adele songs in the back of the bus”. Playing volleyball has impacted these girls and has brought them much personal growth. Jada Burks stated that the tribulations she faced while playing volleyball has made her a “more mentally strong person”. While only some of the girls plan on continuing their volleyball career in college, they will forever cherish and look back fondly on their time playing in high school.
The Moon volleyball program extends its gratitude and congratulations to all the seniors for their hard work and dedication to the team. Their leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact on the program.
