The girls are 9 – 2 so far and coming up to winning the section. Junior Angelina Shield with an average of 39 so far this season and Sophomore Liv DeGori averaging 41. Both are Moons lead scorers helping them get closer to winning our section. Also, Junior Aubrey Marasco and Senior Chloe Cunningham have been shooting number 3 and 4 also adding great numbers to the score. Moon Girls Golf is going strong and has a great chance for WPIAL champs. All the numbers have been looking perfect for the girls to get their final victory. Coach Kenneth Firmstone has been leading these girls to victory for years. So, it shouldn’t be any worry for them to take first once again.

If we also take a look at the individualist this year, for Moon Girls Golf, we are stacked. Everything is seeming uphill for these girls. Angelina Shield, Liv DeGori, and Aubrey Marasco all have a chance in making it into WPIAL Individuals. All three went and scored big recently at the MAC Championship, winning first overall as a team and Liv DeGori winning first for the individualists. She shot a 69 over 18 holes having 9 total birdies in her round. Also, Angelina Shield shot 75 over 18, winning fourth place overall for the individuals. Lastly, for Miss Aubrey Marasco she shot incredibly as well, scoring an 80 over 18, being 7th overall for the girls. All these ladies have a great chance being a WIPAL Individualist for Moon. Every week these girls pull through, shooting great for the team, making us win big almost every time.

For the last couple years, we’ve been section champs. This year looks good to go for another section win. So, wish the girls good luck whenever you see them and to congratulate them for the great season they are having. Let’s finish the season with a win!
