Moon Area High School hosted its annual Career Fair on October 24, giving students the opportunity to explore future career paths and practice professional skills. The event took place in the gymnasium, where local businesses, colleges, and organizations set up informational booths to share details with students about their fields and potential job opportunities.
Students were expected to dress professionally for the event and wore business casual clothing. Depending on what teachers required, students took notes on their conversations or asked questions about job requirements to help reflect on what they learned. The goal of the event was to help students gain experience with professional communication, networking, and planning for their futures.
People from a wide range of fields, like healthcare, business, engineering, and public service, attended. They provided information to students about education requirements, possible career paths, and other opportunities, such as internships or training programs. Teachers also encouraged their students to ask thoughtful questions, make good eye contact, and talk respectfully to the representatives.
Overall, the Career Fair proved to be a valuable learning experience for Moon Area students. It allowed them to connect directly with professionals, discover new interests, and better understand the steps needed to reach their goals. Many students left the event feeling more confident about their future career paths and the choices they will make after graduation.
