On October 17, 2025, the Moon Area Cheerleaders were recognized for their senior night. The seniors included: Aubrey Bennett (Captain), Vega Meredith (Captain), La’nayia Sims (Captain), Clair Stewart, Sara Gilson, Rylee Kephart, Kalysta Prentice, Callie Reale, Emily Finnegan, Natalie Walker, Gabby Davis, Brook Ziegler, and Alyse Jordan.

When asked what the best part about being on the cheer team, Emily Finnegan, said “I would say the friendships that I have made over this year and to experience the game on the field is kind of cool.”

Aubrey Bennett, one of the three captains on the team, said, “Being on the cheer team affected me personally because it has taught me a lot of responsibility and knowing I have to show up to be a leader. The teammates can trust me, and I get to be closer to them, and I can be someone they come to.”

Rylee Kephart was asked what her favorite memory during the past 4 years being on the team. She answered, “Getting a new cheer coach. We all came together more as a team, and it has been more fun and a more positive environment.”

When asked how she feels about being on the cheer team, La’Nayia Sims, captain, said, “I love being a moon varsity cheerleader. The bonds you create with the girls are just amazing and just to see how everyone builds off each other is great.”
