The Moon Area High School girls’ tennis team is making big strides this season, both on and off the court. With a record number of students joining, the program has expanded to include a brand new junior varsity (JV) team for the first time. This exciting growth gives more athletes the chance to compete and develop their skills while strengthening the future of the program.
Practices this fall have been energetic, with varsity and JV players training side by side. The larger roster has brought new energy, friendly competition, and stronger doubles pairings. Senior leaders have been mentoring underclassmen, and the team’s supportive culture has created an environment where every player feels valued.
Looking ahead, the Tigers are preparing for a full slate of upcoming section and non-section matches throughout October. With both varsity and JV teams in action, Moon fans will have plenty of chances to cheer on the players. Beyond the schedule, the girls are also focused on building lasting teamwork and representing their school with pride at every match.
The season is shaping up to be one of growth, unity, and excitement for the Moon Area girls’ tennis program with the JV team adding new opportunities and varsity players continuing to push their game to the next level.
