With Pittsburgh’s multiple beautiful outdoor venues, the summer is the perfect time to catch a concert. From Acrisure Stadium (Heinz Field) to PNC Park to nearby Star Lake Pavilion, everyone can find something to love.
Dust off the cowboy boots and hats because it is a great summer for country concerts. George Strait, Chris Stapleton, and Parker McCollum are kicking off the summer at Acrisure Stadium on May 31st. The concert will be a mix of country classics, with George Strait being one of the great, and newer hits from Chris Stapleton and Parker McCollum. John Pardi is coming to the Pete only a week later, with tickets being a steal at just around 30 dollars. The Pavilion at Star Lake is always a country hot spot, with Thomas Rhett performing on June 13th and Luke Bryan on August 2nd. Female country sensation Megan Moroney is coming to Stage AE on June 20th, and tickets are going fast. Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley round out the lineup in August, performing on August 9th and 29th, respectively (both at Star Lake)
The rap lineup features a few notable names this summer, who will all surely be a fun time. Post Malone will be at PNC Park on May 29th, touring with Jelly Roll. The concert will be a mix of country and rap fusion, a unique combination which should be unforgettable. Smaller name Jpegmafia is coming to the Roxian Theater on June 1st, a more intimate venue that has hosted huge names. Finally, Whiz Khalifa, a Pittsburgh favorite, will be at Star Lake on July 19th.
Not many big names in pop are coming to the city this summer, but the fall looks to feature a stellar lineup. Tate McCrae will be at PPG on October 15th, with Sabrina Carpenter following soon after on the 24th. Both names have blown up in the media, known for their empowering lyrics and strong vocals. The Jonas Brothers, a nostalgic favorite, will be at PPG on November 12th.
