This year’s winter musical the Moon Area High School students performed an excellent piece to James and the Giant Peach. The cast did a wonderful job at embodying their roles and showing their commitment. As someone who got to watch it I think I’m speaking for everyone when I say it was 10/10! The main character was James played by. It begins with James’s parents get eaten by a rhino, so he gets sent to the orphanage. He finds out he has two aunts who live in Dover but soon realize they are terrible people. Since there is only family, he goes with them to live, they treat him horribly. They make him chop down a peach tree and a magic guy named “Londa Lord” who gives James a spell to make his life better. James drops the spell on the ground, the crocodile tongues go all over the place and bite the peach tree then the peace tree grew into s giant peach. The peach grows and James goes into to where he meets bugs who grew due to the magic. The bugs cut off the stem of the peach roll into the English Channel which leads them to the Atlantic Ocean where they sail across the sea to New York. The play ends with the city mistaking the peach as something dangerous but realizes it is safe so at the end all the kids eat the peace, and James finds a new home in the pit of the peach! This play portrayed the story of a tea and was such a fun time to watch! If you had to miss this play, try and make it to the Theatre Clubs Spring play I guarantee it’ll be amazing. Again, congratulations to all the kids who put their hearts and work into this play well done!
