Please join me in welcoming Ms. Mattucci as a new high school English teacher. Ms. Mattucci began her teaching career 15 years ago in the Butler School District where she worked for 7 years. After moving to Moon Township, and living here for a few years, she really enjoyed the community and location. She felt the Moon Area School District had a “great reputation” which prompted her to take a position as a writing teacher at the Moon Area Middle School. This position was perfect for Ms. Mattucci as she wished to work in the district where she lived. Ms. Mattucci held the position as a writing teacher at the middle school for the last 8 years prior to moving to the high school this year. In her first year at the high school, Ms. Mattucci is looking forward to reconnecting with former students she had in 8^th grade. She is eager to see how her former students have grown since she last saw them at the middle school. Additionally, after teaching writing for 8 years, Ms. Mattucci is excited to teach and explore some of her favorite literature again with the high school students. When not in school, Ms. Mattucci is busy going on adventures with her 4-year-old son and loves spending any spare time she has in the garden. We hope Ms. Mattucci has a great first year in the high school cultivating the love of literature in her students!
