The Moon Area High School Girls Lacrosse team is happy to welcome Mackenzie Bell as their new head coach. With her experience as a player and coach, Coach Mackenzie is ready to lead the team and help them grow this season.
Coach Mackenzie grew up in Maryland and played college lacrosse at Robert Morris University. She was named First Team All-Conference in 2023 and 2024 and earned All-Tournament Team honors in 2024. While at RMU, her team won MAC Championships in 2021 and 2024, which took them to the NCAA playoffs. Off the field, she was also a top student and made the All-Academic Team every year.
In addition to her playing career, Coach Mackenzie earned a degree in mechanical engineering and works as an engineer. She began coaching five years ago with the Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club and is excited to now lead Moon’s program.
The team’s junior players are already excited to work with their new coach. Reese Kessler said, “She’s a great coach with a great personality.” Giada Faulk added, “I can’t wait to start training and get to know her more.” Abby Drew shared, “You can tell she will be a great coach, and I can’t wait to get to know her more.”
Coach Mackenzie shared her excitement for the season ahead. “I’m thrilled to bring my knowledge, experience, and passion for the game to Moon Lacrosse. I can’t wait to help the team improve and succeed both on and off the field,” she said.
