Spotify Wrapped

Many music fanatics await the arrival of the annual Spotify Wrapped, where users get to see their most listened to and favorite songs and artists on the music streaming app, Spotify over the past year. This year, many were speculating about the release of the Wrapped. Unlike most years, where it is released in early to mid-November, this year’s Wrapped had users waiting until late November to early December. Amid all the speculation of the release, there seemed to be no technical issues when viewing this year’s Spotify Wrapped.

A major new feature to these years Wrapped is the incorporation of an AI podcast into your experience. This will feature two AI voices giving you an overview of your year in music on Spotify. The use of AI has been used in Spotify before, by means of the AI DJ, which gives users their very own personalized playlist based on previous listening habits. The app has received much positive feedback from this and will most likely incorporate more AI into their platform.

With more than 26.6 billion total streams globally, Taylor Swift was crowned the most listened to artist around the world. Other female artists like Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter saw appearances in the top 10 albums and songs of the year. As many expected, Joe Rogan’s, The Joe Rogan Experience, was the most streamed podcast by a long shot. Many Spotify users have been diversifying their music taste by dipping their feet into genres they have never heard before. Overall, users have been very content with this year’s Spotify Wrapped even after a slight delay.
